Administrative Assistant (Executive Assistant, Secretary): Many successful,
high-powered business executives would be lost without their administrative assistant.
Unfortunately, the cost of such help prohibits many from hiring a person for
this role, and they are forced to complete a myriad of administrative duties for
themselves. This may be time consuming and sometimes troublesome in your own country,
where you know the language, the customs, and the rules, but it will be close to
impossible for you to do these tasks for yourself in China. Administrative
Assistant services include word processing, managing budgets and
bookkeeping, maintaining websites, and making travel arrangements. Our Personal
Assistants can also help you stage a successful meeting, or arrange for catering a lunch meeting.
MyChinaCityGuide Personal Assistants have a variety of skills, and are creative
in managing new situations. They are part of a much bigger team, and can draw on
those resources for help as needed. Book It!

airport's arrival hall, just as you
exit the baggage terminal. Your PA will then escort you to the taxi queue, or if

transportation. The PA will then accompany you to your hotel to insure that you
arrive safely, and check into your room with the least amount of trouble. This service
typically only requires a ½ Day. Book It!
Car and Driver:
MCCG will reserve a car and driver for you. Prices will vary depending on the
type of car, and the length of service. For the cost-sensitive traveler
MyChinaCityGuide recommends a simple 4 door sedan, which
we can reserve for you at $50 per ½ day (4 hours), or $100 for the full day (8
Hours). This option will provide you with a clean, like new, air-conditioned
automobile to take you where you want to go in comfort. If you have more than
two people, and/or lots of luggage we can also arrange to have a mini-van or bus
to pick you up and take your around the city (prices will vary according to the
size of the van/bus). Finally, for those that prefer a higher level of comfort
and luxury, we can reserve a luxury-class sedan for your
travels. Book It!
City Guide:
In many ways, this service defines the MyChinaCityGuide Personal Assistant.
Our Personal Assistants take great
pride in getting to know their customer, and showing them the parts of
China that make it great. The MCCG Personal Assistant is NOT a
professional tourist guide. Most “tourist guides”, particularly in the big
cities, make their money from kick-backs from the retail stores that they lead
you into. Our Personal Assistants are genuine, and will share their opinions and
insights, rather than provide you with the “company line”. If you want to
experience the real China, and get a better understanding of the way the Chinese see
themselves, hire a MyChinaCityGuide to show you their city. Book It!
Interpreting:
Interpreting is the activity of facilitating oral communication, between two, or among three or
more, speakers who do not speak the same language. Interpretation is a very difficult skill
to acquire. Some MyChinaCityGuide Personal Assistants are better at it than
others. A good interpreter is particularly valuable while traveling in
China, because while the translation of words
may appear straight-forward, the unique culture and nuances of the Chinese language may
be interpreted far differently, and alter the meaning of those words entirely.
If you require professional level translation,
please let us know well in advance so that we can identify the perfect candidate.
(See also Translation) We can also interpret for phone conversations and conference calls.

Newsletter Composition and Distribution: Does your business publish a newsletter? Regularly? You don't have to be Entrepreneur of the Year, or a CEO of a Fortune 500 company to understand the value of regular communication with customers and prospects. Not long ago, the cost of writing, printing, and distributing a newsletter was too time consuming and the return-on-investment was questionable. However the Internet has leveled the playing field, and if you're not availing yourself of this powerful sales and marketing tool, you're likely not maximizing revenue, or worse, losing business to your competition. Despite the obvious benefits of publishing a newsletter, many busy business owners don't take the time to pull the content together and push it out to their audience. Let MyChinaCityGuide create and email your newsletter for as low as US$50 per newsletter (text only).Book It!
Shopping: Shopping is the examining
of goods or services with intent to purchase. Shopping is the
activity of selection and/or purchase. In some contexts it is considered a
leisure activity as well as an economic one. In still other contexts its
considered a dreadful, but necessary activity. If you enjoy shopping, let one of our
experienced Personal Assistants show you where the real bargains are. They can
also help you negotiate the best deal. Perhaps even more compelling to some of our
clients is having their Personal Assistant do the shopping for
them! Finally, if you're in the US, and would like us to find a
specific or unique item for your family, friend or colleague, let us know, and we
will try to find the item for you.

Tradeshow (or Trade Fair) Assistant: A trade
show is an exhibition organized so that companies in a specific industry can
showcase and demonstrate their new products and services. The lure of
China's huge domestic market, and the fact that China has become the manufacturing center
of the world, has lead many business people to China to exhibit or attend a trade show.
However, foreigners are often surprised and unprepared for the language gap,
which significantly reduces the value of the investment that they may have made
to be in China, and limits the opportunities they may have had. Besides acting as an
interpreter, a Personal Assistant can also collect sales leads, distribute
leaflets, and encourage people to visit your booth.

the production, in another language (the “target language”) of an equivalent
