What do we look for in a
MyChinaCityGuide Personal Assistant?
A
Personal Assistant for MyChinaCityGuide (MCCG) must possess a variety of
skills and personality traits, including:
* Communication Skills: All Personal Assistants must be native Mandarin speakers.
They must also be able to understand and speak English with a very high level
of proficiency. In fact most of our Assistants are multi-lingual.
* Empathy: Personal Assistants must be excellent listeners, who
listen not only with their ears, but also with their hearts. Our customers come
from all over the world, with a variety of accents, and a wide range of English
speaking abilities. Consequently, empathy is a highly valued trait at
MyChinaCityGuide.
* Positivity: Words that customers have used to describe our
Assistants include eager, energetic, happy, optimistic, service-oriented,
pleasant, and uplifting. Personal Assistants are able to maintain a positive and
optimistic attitude over long periods of time. They project confidence, are
assertive and are not easily intimidated.
* Flexibility: Most Personal Assistants
are either college students, or recent college graduates that have flexible
schedules.
* Professional: MyChinaCityGuide Personal Assistants project
professionalism in how they dress, what they say, and how they act. They need
very little managerial direction because they know their job, they know their
customer, and they know their environment. Though the job can sometimes get very
stressful, they remain calm, and in control of themselves.
* Knowledgeable: Every Personal Assistant shares a passion for learning and experiencing new
things. They enjoy meeting people from all over the world and sharing their
knowledge of China's customs, destinations and national treasures. They are
particularly knowledgeable about the city that they live in, such as the city's
history, the best places to shop, restaurants that their customers are more
likely to enjoy, and current events.
* Team Player: We have a wonderful group of people that make up the MyChinaCityGuide
team that realize that they can't succeed at this business by themselves. We work
together to make sure that our customers are delighted by their service.
