the founder of MyChinaCityGuide.com. Scott has been traveling and doing business
in China for more than 20 years. In the early 1980’s he served as a missionary
for the LDS church in Hong Kong where he learned to speak the Cantonese dialect
of Chinese fluently. After completing a two year mission, he returned to Utah
and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Utah, and soon
after, moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he earned an International MBA from

Global Sources that he developed an interest in Internet Marketing, and in 1990
he left to become the Director of Sales for the Hong Kong Web Connection, which
developed corporate web sites for businesses in Hong Kong. In 1997 he joined
Intel Corporation in Singapore, and was responsible for developing Intel's
online presence in Asia. Scott currently resides in Portland, Oregon, where he
lives with his wife, two kids and a dog. He travels to China frequently, and is
slowly improving his Mandarin. He enjoys golfing, snow skiing, camping, fishing
